Hummer’s decision to consistently downsize has been a good thing. Bigger is not necessarily better anymore, especially if consumers are able to get off-roading excellence and the Hummer look without the big fuel bills or the initial purchasing cost. Complementing the H3 SUV will be a new light truck model, signified by the letter T.
It may be true that the H3 is based off the Colorado platform, but the H3T isn’t just one of GM’s small trucks wearing the Hummer façade. Available only as a four-door crew cab model, the H3T possesses a surprisingly long wheelbase of 3,403 mm (134.0 in), which makes it a fair bit bigger than the longest wheelbase Colorado,

Additionally, it features an integrated cargo management system that includes special cleats and tie-down anchors for hauling bicycles (and dirt bikes) amongst other large, outdoorsy items.
Bed and frame aside, the H3T is identical to the Hummer H3. It can be had with the same engines, the inline-five and the V8, and its interior goes by unchanged. Because Hummer designed the truck with towing and hauling in mind, the recalibrated suspension combined with the Alpha-only V8 engine allows it to tow up to 2,675 kg (5,900 lbs).
