2017 Hyundai Elantra

Exterior Design

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra is a compact sedan that looks like a luxury vehicle. Hyundai has taken a much more up-scale approach when creating the new Elantra. Starting with the front of the vehicle the Elantra has a brand new grill that gives the vehicle an aggressive and expensive look that here at Surgenor Hyundai we believe is a nice change from the older Elantra grill. The 2017 Elantra also now sports LED daytime running lights and vertically mounted LED fog lights. The hood on the 2017 Hyundai Elantra has two sloping lines that really accentuate the sleeker more stylish look of the vehicle. Moving around to the side of the car there is a beautiful accent that gives the side a nicely sculpted curve. The wheels have a premium look as they are 17-inch alloy with a chrome trim. The back of the vehicle is perfectly subtle as it has just enough sculpt and design to not overwhelm the overall look of the vehicle. All of these design and sculpture changes have allowed the 2017 Hyundai Elantra to improve on its aerodynamics over previous versions. The 2017 Elantra is also made out of higher strength steel that will improve your overall ride and give you better handling on the roads. You really need to come into Surgenor Hyundai to take a look at the new Elantra yourself. You will not be disappointed by the new design.

Interior Design

The 2017 Elantra's interior has received a complete overhaul. The dash of the Elantra is greatly improved as it very elegant and stylish. You are greeted with a vibrant 7.0 touch screen that contains all of your key controls. Under the touch screen, you are provided with all the physical controls. The dash is nicely stacked in a rectangular fashion and it is very easy to find everything that you are looking for. There are many options available to you to spice up your interior and improve your overall experience with the 2017 Elantra. Here some of the features the Elantra offers.

• Cruise Control

• Steering-wheel audio controls

• Bluetooth

• Apple Car plays and Android Auto

• Backup camera

• Heated mirrors

• Additional Noise Insulation under the hood

• Blind-spot detection and cross-traffic alert

• Leather covered steering wheel and shift knob

• Keyless entry and push-button start

• Heated Seats and dual-zone climate control

These are just a few of the great features that you can take advantage of when purchasing the 2017 Hyundai Elantra.

The 2017 Elantra is also very spacious inside. You don't feel cramped at all anywhere in the car. It sits five people nicely and you will feel like you are in a larger sedan rather than a compact sedan.

Performance

As mentioned above one of the biggest improvements for the 2017 Hyundai Elantra is the use of more high-strength steel. Hyundai constructed the 2017 Elantra with 53% high strength steel as opposed to the previous 21% used in the older models. Using more of this high strength steel gives the Elantra a stronger structural base which will give you improved handling and you will always feel like you are in complete control on the roads. You will have two engine options when choosing your new Elantra. You can choose the more eco-friendly model which has a 1.4 liter turbocharged engine which you will be able to get over 40mpg driving on highways and 35mpg with highway and city combined driving. This engine also provides you with 128 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque. The second engine option is a 2.0-liter engine that is estimated to get a combined 33mpg with highway and city driving. It will provide 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque.

Overall

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra is a big step forward in the compact sedan market. It is the second cheapest in its category in terms of monetary value. This price, however, does not reflect the quality vehicle you will be receiving if you decide to purchase the 2017 Elantra. The redesign of the exterior is a welcomed change that will have people looking at you as you drive. It really has a beautiful sleek strong design that sets it apart from the other vehicles in its class. The interior is more spacious than most compact sedans in the segment. The features available are endless and you will easily be able to find a package that fully meets your needs. In terms, interior functionality the dashboard is very easy to use and everything is easy to find. One of the biggest complaints with the previous versions of the Elantra was that it was very loud when driving. This problem has been significantly reduced with the increase in the use of high-strength steel. Not only does this make your ride more enjoyable but it really reduces the engine noise that you will hear while driving. If a compact sedan is the type of vehicle you are in the market for you will be doing yourself a disservice if you don't consider the 2017 Hyundai Elantra as one of your options.

2019 Hyundai Santa Fe: Just Keeps Getting Better

The Hyundai Santa Fe is a weird SUV, but we say that in a good way. It’s always been a bit of the odd man out. The first generation had a very unique look to it that made people wonder if it was even an SUV at all. Then Hyundai switched gears with the Santa Fe and built a larger-than-average model that could fit three rows of seats, something you just don’t see in the compact SUV segment. As... Read more
